Travel Store
This page will have resources not related to Ukraine necessarily, but are very good services that make traveling and living abroad easier at times. I will limit this page to resources that I have used and can vouch for.
Kayak.com (Airline Tickets)
I simply think this is the best ticket search service available. It uses ITA Software that was developed by a bunch of hackers and the MIT artificial intelligence program, and it is quickly becoming the standard for airfare searches.
eBags.com (backpacks, child carriers, and travel accessories)
Bags are essential, and eBags has a pretty good assortment of bags on offer. I recently went to a Patagonia store to look a their Frieghtliner bags and realized I could get it cheaper on eBags.
Ukrainelist.com Amazon Store (travel guides and books)
I set up an Amazon Store that lists several of the popular guides and books out there. You can read my assessment of them on the ‘Travel Guide (Book)’ page. The Kiev book was written by a professor of mine from college.
Sierra Trading Post has a wide range of outdoor products such as footwear, tents, skis, and backpacks. I have found good valued (low cost) roller duffel bags on the site. It is worth searching around.
Rosetta Stone has language learning software. I have personally not used the Russian, but I have used the French. Yes, I know this is Russian and not Ukrainian, but they don’t have Ukrainian at this time.
