I don’t know how far I will go into the shopping aspect on this site. Most practical shopping aspects are already covered in family, eating, etc. Regardless, I will place a some sites on here that may be useful.

The Ukrainian Museum Shop is classy as most museum shops are. The selection is limited, but maybe that will change. Of course, if you are living in Ukraine, you will probably have many opportunities to buy similar items on the economy and perhaps pay less, but still I think museum sites are a good idea.

Yevshan claims to be the biggest on-line seller of music, books, and video. I don’t have the ability to validate this claim, but the site is set up well.

The Travel Kiev Gateway has a shopping section that seems useful, but I suspect it is out of date and it wouldn’t surprise me if many of these establishments are no longer there or are now overcome by other stores.

Buy Ukraine is run by the US-Ukraine Foundation and sells a variety of items. The travel and business sections have publications for sale that are useful. They also have a lot of maps for sale.
